Last month, I had the opportunity to volunteer with Adjoin, supporting a community event designed to help veterans and individuals with disabilities connect with local resources.

When I first arrived, I helped set up tables and welcome kits. But as the day unfolded, the real impact came through conversations — sharing coffee with a veteran looking for his next career move, or helping a young woman navigate the housing support resources available to her. Each story I heard reminded me how vital community, respect, and opportunity are to rebuilding lives.

Volunteering with Adjoin isn’t about “giving back” — it’s about standing alongside people as they build the futures they deserve. I left feeling inspired by the strength and dignity of every person I met, and proud to be part of a community that believes everyone deserves a safe place to call home and a life full of possibility.
