“New leadership is now on deck following the 11 pro-life champions headed toward the general election. Wyoming set the bar high for protecting life in law and in service when legislators worked to end the abuses of Chemical Abortion Pills, which expose women to injury, infertility, and death, as well as empowering abusers and endangering the environment,” said SFLAction Vice President of Political Affairs Chanel Jacobs. “The Pro-Life Generation can’t wait to get to work saving lives in the new year.”

CHEYENNE, WY (08-21-2024) – Students for Life Action (SFLAction) celebrates the election of 11 pro-life candidates and incumbents in Wyoming’s senate and house primary races. SFLAction Vice President of Political Affairs Chanel Jacobs said, “Wyoming, despite one of the most reliably Republican states in the nation, has more work to do when it comes to protecting preborn lives. SF 109 Prohibiting Chemical Abortions was a step in the right direction, made possible because pro-life legislators stepped up when they were needed – and when mothers and preborn children faced the barbarism of abortion. Tonight’s 11 pro-life winners now head to the general election in November, and we look forward to standing with them to make abortion unavailable and unthinkable in Wyoming.”
In this cycle, SFLAction sent 29,802 texts, made 27,613 calls, sent  39,847 pieces of mail, and knocked on 341 doors across  twenty-two targeted districts to educate voters about the records of candidates.

SFLAction has lobbied in Wyoming for years now, educating voters and engaging lawmakers on the issue of Chemical Abortion Pills most recently, including:
- Advocating for the passage of Senate Bill SF 108– The Clean Water for All Life Act, which would have ensured the life and health of both mothers and babies are protected, go after healthcare providers who willingly break the law, and hold drug manufacturers responsible for the mitigation of any environmental impact of Chemical Abortion Pills.
- Pushing for and helping securing passage of State Sen. Tim Salazar’s
Wyoming is also a state with solidly pro-life elected officials in Washington, according to the results of SFLAction’s second Pro-Life Generation Report Card. Wyoming scored the 118th Congress on key pro-life votes, legislation co-sponsorships, and stances in defense of the preborn so far this Congressional cycle.
The lone U.S. House Rep. Harriet Hageman, and the two U.S. Senators, Cynthia Lummis and John Barrasso, all scored B+’s for their solid pro-life records.
SFLAction recently kicked off its abortion ballot initiative campaign with a revamped website featuring additional state specific information and resources for grassroots supporters and activists who want to get involved, including state specific information and resources, as well as messaging kits for the “Vote No” campaign.
