This morning at the 2025 National Black & Latino Economic Event in Tampa, FL, I connected with Ekaette, who shares a journey similar to mine. She traveled from Kentucky, driven by the same hope for opportunity and purpose.
We previously met at a virtual networking event for the migrant community, and now, as two immigrants and dreamers, we stand together, inspired by our resilience. We've crossed borders, adapted to new cultures, and shouldered our families' hopes. I also admired her being a very resilient professional.
